DESCRIPTION:Revival of the old production. To quote from my review in 2015: “written by Summana Ahmed and Saif Hyder Hasan\, and directed by the latter. It presented the relationship between Amrita Pritam and Sahir Ludhianvi\, based on her autobiography. Perhaps because of the depth of the source text\, and no doubt the poetic ore of compositions by two authors iconic in their respective fields\, liberally sprinkled throughout the script\, Ek Mulaqat resonated with the acoustic beauty of two languages\, Punjabi (Pritam) and Urdu (Ludhianvi).” Shekhar Suman returns\, but a new actress replaces Deepti Naval. \nHighly recommended: ★★★★★
