Instead\, when she finds herself sinking into the soft noise of her childhood\, and turns to us to ask: what does any of this mean? Created and performed solo by Rishika Kaushik. DESCRIPTION:A retelling of the life of Srinivasa Iyengar Ramanujan from the humble town of Kumbakonam to the hallowed halls of Cambridge. The dramatis personae include devout and determined mother\, Kamallatammal\, who introduced him to the world of classical Indian mathematics; his young wife Janaki\, whose loneliness\, sacrifices and silent suffering form a backdrop to his spiritual quest and scientific ascent; and G. H. Hardy\, the English mathematician who receives a letter filled with unconventional theorems and identities\, intrigued and awestruck by which he becomes Ramanujan’s academic collaborator. Written and directed by Rajib Bardhan.
