Paschimbanga Natya Academy’s Natyamela

The West Bengal Government has organized its 25th Natyamela festival of Bengali theatre starting on December 7 lasting till December 17, with free admission for everyone. Every afternoon and evening, over 100 groups from all over the state will stage their productions at the state-run auditoriums in Kolkata: Rabindra Sadan, Girish Mancha, Madhusudan Mancha, Rabindra Tirtha, Sisir Mancha, Tripti Mitra Natyagriha and Ektara Mukta Mancha. Performances include puppet theatre, folk theatre, mime and intimate theatre, besides regular proscenium theatre.
