ECTA (New Jersey)’s two Bengali plays, at Tapan

Short plays written and directed by Sudipta Bhawmik: Banijye Basate Lakshmi is a solo performance in which Sudipta enacts a motivational speaker delivering a speech on how Bengali entrepreneurs can succeed in business. Paul o Vincent is a period piece set in 1888 that explores the intense, tragic relationship between Gauguin and Van Gogh right up to the famous “ear incident”.
