D for Drama (Mumbai)’s Kaumudi, at Birla Sabhagar

A Hindi drama written and directed by Abhishek Majumdar exploring a father-son dynamic, inspired by Anand’s novel Vyasam Vigneswaram and Borges‘ essay “Blindness”, focusing on a rite of passage, caste-based injustices and the passing of knowledge. Spotlighting actors who perform as characters from the Mahabharata, the play raises philosophical questions about the value of life, ethics and the nature of art.
